Justin Bieber was recently baptized. And because he is a celebrity, of course it could not have been “normal.” Bieber had lived with Hillsong NYC church Pastor Carl Lentz (early photo of the two shown above) for a month and a half in 2014 while he was struggling with personal issues.
More recently, the 21-year-old “Love Yourself” singer told the pastor, “I want to know Jesus… Baptize me,” wanting him to do it right then and there. Lentz thus had to get creative, so he brought Bieber to the home of NBA pro Tyson Chandler, where there is a swimming pool. However, the pool had been closed for the winter. As a result, Bieber was baptized in the middle of the night in the athlete’s bathtub. The pastor supports Bieber, declaring, “ This boy is 21. He’s in a horribly toxic world. “He is trying to do his best to figure this out. He has never been anybody but who he has professed to be, which is a work in progress.”
