RIP Christina Grimmie: Voice Singer Dies After Orlando Concert Shooting



22 year old singer and songwriter Christina Grimmie was simply doing what she loves do best, performing for her loving fans at her concert in Florida. It was late Friday night as she was signing autographs when a man armed with two guns approached and shot her. Her brother proceeded to risk his own life by tackling the gun man to prevent anyone else from getting hurt. According to authorities the man shot himself after being tackled and he has not been identified, at least to the public. The investigation is still at it's preliminary stages. 
"It is with a heavy heart that we can confirm that Christina has passed and went home to be with the Lord," her publicist Heather Weiss said in a statement.

"She was shot at her show in Orlando and, unfortunately, didn't survive the gunshot wounds. We ask at this time that you respect the privacy of her family and friends in their time of mourning."
I've been listening to this girl for a long time and I can tell you that we have lost a really down to earth, talented musician. From listening to her first cover I remember distinctly saying that "this girl is going to be big, I just know it". People from all over, including the band that was touring with her are mourning the lost of such an awesome artist


Not only did she place third on the Voice and hold her her own performances, but she toured with Selena Gomez as well. Christiana fairly recently released an EP Side A, with plans to release Side B later on. Condolences go out to her friends and family.
