Bella Thorne Conquers Her Worst Fear

For most teens, getting your license is one of the most exciting steps into adulthood. However, for Bella Thorne, it was her worst fear.

Thorne, who rose to fame on Disney Channel’s Shake It Up, told Entertainment Tonight that she has had a “fear of driving” ever since her father was killed in a motorcycle accident in 2007. Since then, she has expressed her grief in her young adult novel, “Autumn Falls,” in which the main character is Autumn, who also lost her father in a motorcycle accident.

In more recent years, Thorne told Seventeen magazine, “I’m not mature enough to accept the responsibility of perhaps taking someone else’s life.” Consequently, the eighteen-year-old’s mother has been her personal chauffeur — until now.

The brave actress conquered her fear this previous Wednesday and got behind the wheel. She posted the above photo to social media and wrote, “The DMV life! finally!!!!”
